SAN FRANCISCO—On May 22, at 6:40 p.m., the San Francisco Fire Department received multiple calls of a fire inside a building on the 600 block of O’Farrell St.

Fire officials arrived within minutes of the dispatch and aggressively attacked the fire. The blaze was placed under control within 10 minutes. Fire and police remained on scene stabilizing the incident. There were no reports of injuries during the blaze.

The SFPD also rescued a hiker on Tuesday, May 26 with the help of CHP H-30 for a cliff rescue at the War Memorial San Francisco around 7 p.m.

A hiker fell approximately 70-100 feet to a remote trail below. A coordinated effort by units in battalion 7, Rescue Squad 1 and CHP Air Ops quickly rescued and transported this person to an area hospital. No additional details on the incident have been disclosed to the public.
