SAN FRANCISCO—Authorities remained at the scene of a standoff that involved an armed robbery suspect that began on Saturday, February 18 on Treasure Island. A female and five boys were detained in connection to the standoff.

Officers responded to a reported robbery involving a man with a gun on the 1300 block of Gateview Avenue at 10:43 a.m. Officers learned the suspect reportedly fled into a home on the 1200 block of Mariner Drive. Officers established a perimeter in the surrounding area and remained at the scene throughout the day.

Mariner Drive, Gateview Avenue and 13th Street were closed as a precaution. San Francisco Municipal Railway buses in the area were re-routed.

Officials reported that the six suspects were detained and another man in his 20s got into a fight. The man was treated at the home for injuries sustained from the fight and was later released.

Authorities said two of the boys were found hiding in the attic of the home when tactical officers searched the residence around 3 p.m.
