SAN FRANCISCO—On Monday, July 14, 2025, at about 2:30 in the morning, South San Francisco Police Officers were responsive to an armed robbery call at the 2500 block of Bantry Lane. South San Francisco Police Officers learned that the suspect, 26-year-old Oakland convicted felon James Williams, had robbed his victim, a fellow acquaintance, after being invited to his own home.
Williams used a firearm in order to frighten him into extorting money. Fearing for his safety, Williams’ victim did as he was requested. Afterwards, Williams threatened his victim by telling him that harm will befall him if he did not send any more dollars.
On Thursday, August 14, 2025, U.S. Marshals Fugitive Apprehension Team apprehended him in Oakland for a No Bail Felony Warrant from this investigation. He has been charged with armed robbery and kidnapping. When he was arrested, he was found with a concealed weapon.
