HOLLYWOOD—Once again, the latest episode of “The Oval” opened with this silly storyline about attacks on America. This has unfolded for nearly 5 episodes now without any sort of movement that serves a narrative purpose the viewer cares about. This week’s episode, ‘Upon Which We Stand’ witnessed Jason choking out Dilva’s latest ally, with Priscilla out cold.

Allan is a bit calm for once in like 6 seasons thanks to Jimmy who tried to talk some sense into him. Jimmy might be homeless, but he has a story. Donald learned about the shenanigans involving Jason who has vanished into the walls of The White House. Dilva asked about Trent’s whereabouts, and its apparent she knows he’s in trouble, which Kyle was tasked at locating.

Bobby planted listening devices into Lilly’s bedroom so he could gather intel to use against them, which worried her slightly. Lilly doubted rather Bobby could actually protect her from her wicked husband, Donald, which led to the two former love birds give into temptation. Hunter and Victoria were not pleased about have to take a photo (are you kidding me), about Eli and Simone as a part of presenting one big happy family!

I could care less about this squabble between these four; it is not interesting or exciting at all. The barbs they are trading are not even quick-witted or interesting. Things got so intense hands were about to be thrown, but Dilva lost it calling out Simone, Eli, Hunter and Victoria for their antics. It was hilarious, Victoria and Simone had a dogfight, just as Hunter and Eli did.

Kyle you are such a dummy. You check Jason’s room and you still cannot find his hiding spot, yet Trent goes into the room once and easily locates the secret passageway? Gosh, either the characters are complete idiots, or this is bad writing. Dilva decided to give Hunter what he wanted, cocaine and a woman to treat his addiction, but he would be forced to go to rehab afterwards. What did he have to do? Just act like the actual President of the United States for one single day. Why are we spending so much time on this silly matter?

Finally, a diversion as we spotted Priscilla in distress realizing that her predicament is far worse than she imagined. Sam tried to act like the hero, stumbling upon Priscilla and not knowing what Jason did. Sam is indeed a wicked guy; you could have prevented all this trauma beforehand, and you allowed it to teach your wife a lesson, go to hell! Sam sort of told on himself.

Even the people around Hunter knows he’s an idiot. The episode concluded with Jason realizing that Priscilla has escaped and he might finally be exposed or his mayhem will be put to an end. Hmm, next week’s episode looks interesting as it looks like a few people might be exposed for working with those targeting “The Oval” and I’m not referring to Eli and Simone.
