SAN FRANCISCO—Three San Francisco Police Department officers were injured in a two-car crash in the SF Mission District on Thursday, April 27.

Around 10:44 p.m., two police cars were responding to a call for backup at 15th and Valencia Streets, when their cruisers collided into each other. Two officers were occupied one of the vehicle, while one officer occupied the other police cruiser.

All three officers were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. One of the vehicles crashed into a fire hydrant before colliding into a building. Other members from the SFPD arrived on the scene to investigate the crash. Authorities have not yet disclosed what led to the crash.

The SFPD Traffic Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the crash
