SAN FRANCISCO—Dennis Sholler, 70, of Vallejo, was arrested on January 17 for reportedly having an online sexual relationship with a 14 year-old girl.

The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) Internet Crimes Against Children discovered that Sholler sent graphic sexual photos to the girl, who lives in San Francisco. Police officials noted that in addition to having contact via social media, he attempted to meet with the girl at an undisclosed location in the city.

After inquiring into the incident, officials uncovered a previous conviction in which Sholler was believed to have fondled a minor.

Sholler was taken into custody and charged with two felonies including sending harmful material to a minor and going to an arranged meeting with a minor for sexual contact. He was also charged with a misdemeanor for arranging a meeting with a minor for sexual contact by the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. He is being detained at the San Francisco County Jail with a $50,000 bail. Jail records disclose that Sholler is set for a court hearing on February 6.
