HOLLYWOOD—In the face of multiple sexual abuse allegations, paint marker-wielding vandals defiled Bill Cosby’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with hostile graffiti.

On December 2, witness Josh Keown noticed the graffiti on the actor-comedian’s star and posted a picture of it on his Twitter page.

The photo reveals the word “rapist” scribbled in black marker several times across the embattled comedian’s name. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce was unamused by the incident.

In a statement, they wrote, “The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an institution celebrating the positive contributions of the inductees. When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways then to vandalize a California State landmark.”

On December 5, a work crew arrived to scrub the graffiti off the star Cosby received in 1977.

Despite not being formally charged with any crime, public opinion of the actor has plummeted as multiple women have come forward claiming that the “The Cosby Show” actor had sexually assaulted them.

Cosby denies any allegations of wrongdoing on his behalf and his lawyer denounced a lawsuit by one of the alleged victims against him.
