SAN FRANCISCO—On Sunday, August 30, over a 100 people gathered to march over Golden Gate Bridge as apart of the #Walkaway Campaign. The campaign was founded by Brandon Straka in 2018. #Walkaway invites people to abandon mainstream media and the “divisive” left, according to the campaign’s website.

The group met at about 10 a.m. on the south side of the bridge where masks were required. Signs reading, “BLM,” “Walk towards unity,” “Walk away from censorship,” “Lesbians for Trump” and more were all waived at the bridge.

The group marched northward where they were met by anti-Trump protesters and a police presence. According to an ABC 7 report, the two groups engaged in a debate. Straka did state that some members of their group were attacked and police did make several arrests.

“#WalkAway Foundation is dedicated to pushing back on the radical Left. We will no longer tolerate the destruction of property and lives, the villainization of law enforcement, and the weaponization of tragedies,” they stated on their website.
