SAN FRANCISCO—An unidentified 63-year old woman was severely injured when a neighbor struck her with frying pan handle, noted police.

According to authorities, the incident transpired in San Francisco’s Chinatown, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Monday, December 12.

The victim was washing dishes in the common area of a building on the 800 block of Clay Street, when the suspect allegedly grabbed her from behind and hit her with a frying pan handle. The attacker then proceeded to jump on her and hit her repeatedly.

The suspect allegedly began choking the victim, causing her to pass out. The victim was admitted to the hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested a 67 year-old, whose name has not yet been disclosed to the public on Tuesday in connected to the assault.
