HOLLYWOOD—It has been a summer people, that is all I can say when it comes to the reality competition series “Big Brother.” It has been a game that has been all over the place in the past 83 days, but it all culminated with one of Vince, Ashley or Morgan taking the crown. However, before we get to our winner we have to discuss how we got to our winner. When we last chatted, Keanu was booted from the game after ‘The Mastermind’ took over the week giving us a speed up eviction.
Simply put, we went from seven players to three in the span of a week. Which tells you “Big Brother” can easily do not one, but two double evictions in a given season, they just choose not to do it. With that said, the final four HOH which has always been a quiz in most cases, turned out to be something quite physical to say the least. Simply put, Ashley and Ava never had a shot at this. I was expecting a What the Bleep or some random quiz, hell, we have even had an endurance comp back in BB21, but this just seems out of left field.
Anyway, Morgan claimed her second HOH and for the first time in the entire season, a contestant won HOH and POV. Yes, that goes to Morgan Pope people. In doing so, she secured Vince’s safety, but there was chatter that Morgan might give the POV to Ashley, who would have easily voted out Vince if she had the chance. That was moot, as Morgan decided NOT to use the POV giving Vince the sole vote to evict. Vince, should have thought about voting out Ashley, but instead sent Ava to the Jury House (actually the Roundtable, fourth place never sees the Jury House people).
Ava went out with guns blazing a bit torching Vince and his gameplay, even calling a house meeting exposing Vince, to try to play with Morgan’s head per Ashley’s intent. Ashley may not be a competitor; she only won one POV and has not shown her prowess in any of the HOH competitions at all. Its fantastic work that Ashley really isn’t getting the credit she deserves to be honest.
With Ava out, Vince, Ashley and Morgan competed in the endurance HOH which had the flying/spiraling in the air, and in the end, it was Morgan who won Part one of the final three HOH. Which means Vince and Ashley would compete in Part two. Vince was doing his woe is me, after losing Part one. This is the tactic from Vince. He knows by playing the victim role, he gets his way. So, if Ashley could win Part two, it sets up a very interesting Part three, where if Morgan wins, Ashley is goner, if Ashley wins, Morgan is a goner. Problem is Morgan doesn’t know that, but Ashley does and used those tactics to her advantage.
How so? Getting into Morgan’s head that she might not be able to win against Vince at the end. I though it was great at first, but after seeing that jury segment in Friday’s episode, Vince might have a stronger case with the jury for the win than I expected. I mean Rachel talked him up quite a bit. You know who we heard nothing about: Ashley. Ashley is only going to have a short time to convince the jury of her game if she makes the Final Two. Guess what? Ashley did after defeating Vince in Part two and talk about a meltdown.
Vince lost it, perhaps the biggest crash and burn we’ve seen from a contestant in a very long time, as Vince started to realize he might not make the final two with Morgan seriously considering cutting him and take Ashley to the end over him. Ashley continued to dangle the carrot to Morgan over Vince’s gameplay, and it was working; I couldn’t believe Morgan was considering cutting Vince (a loyal ally who has protected her) for Ashley, who she has aligned with, but hasn’t fought for her as much.
My biggest concern for the endgame is the jury; I don’t know who votes for who because I don’t think any of these votes are locked for anyone depending on who the final two are. “Big Brother 16” runner-up and “Big Brother: All-Stars 2” winner Cody Calafiore was the moderator of the Jury Roundtable. Was I excited to see Cody? Not really, but let’s give him a shot and see if hits the focus on the three elements of BB: strategy, competitions and social game.
Jury didn’t seem surprised that Ava walked into the jury. Morgan’s on fire, but social, competitive and strategic game. Accountability was something that was a focus for Lauren. Negative for Morgan is her paranoia and having to separate moves between Vince and Morgan; her game seems similar to Vince. The jury all agreed Vince has played a strong game, but his unnecessary lying was NOT good. Which I have to admit to.
Will admitted that Vince has messiness in his game. Rachel announced she would not allow a bitter jury. Rachel defended Vince strongly people, and she was honest in that. Ava gave Ashley credit for her social prowess. Will?! Will dropped tea that Ashley is a lawyer at the BB Roundtable. Not good for Ashley’s speech if she gets there. Ava is a strong advocate for Ashley, but Keanu was not buying it, neither was Lauren. Ashley needs the comp wins to improve.
After that segment, I feel like all three of the players has an equal shot of taking the victory. Cody should have pushed a bit more as a moderator though. He just posed the question and the jurors chatted. However, I expected the Jury Roundtable to be a bit longer and more intriguing; it fell flat. So that leaves me truly wondering what questions will be asked to the Final two? I know one question will be about Vinny’s lying, the other about Morgan and Vince having to define separating their game, and Ashley having to explain how she used her social skills since she lacked a ‘resume.’
So much for Ashley revealing she’s a lawyer, because Will spilled those beans people. I was dying to see this Part two of the Final HOH that was hosted by Frankie Grande of “BB16.” We got ‘The Mastermind’ in person, and would the audience FINALLY learn their identity. Yeah, this competition seems complicated, I’m confused after Frankie read them. Not only is the physicality difficult, but the instruction or not as easy to understand.
Vince did have a massive lead, but Vince misread the ‘days’ the houseguests were evicted INSTEAD of the ‘order’ they left the game. Damn, Vince did spiral, he started yelling. Both Ashley and Vince didn’t understand what was being asked. Ashley re-read her card and figured out the mistake and made her corrections, but Vince did not and continued to unravel.
Morgan tried to comfort Vince, but he spiraled and his victim syndrome erupted in the worst way possible. It was very uncomfortable to watch. Alas, ‘The Mastermind’ was none other than BB Legend Dr. Will Kirby, the winner of “Big Brother Two” and it was hilarious to see Dr. Will being arrested and it was hilarious to witness. Morgan tried to reason with Vince after his loss, but she was not getting anywhere with him.
Oh, this Part three HOH has me on edge because whoever wins is about to make a massive move that could secure their win or loss. I’m rooting for both Ashley and Morgan, so this is tough, as per usual Part three is a quiz that asks questions about the juror’s game; the goal is to identify the false statement. After six questions, whoever has the most points wins. Morgan did not do well in this competition at all, and she choked, so I think Morgan is dunzo, but I truly worry if Ashley can win against Vince.
Ashley got all four questions correct, while Morgan only got one question correct, and they didn’t have to go any further.
This so hurts for Morgan because she played so hard, but my biggest fear is that I can see Ashley not getting the jury votes beyond Will and Ava. I think the others might vote for Vince, and that is totally going to suck majorly, as I think the jury would expect Ashley to evict Vince to be the bigger move, not Morgan. We shall see. Ashley struggled with that decision, and I truly believe that Morgan should have won this season. Vince cannot win; if he wins this season I am going to be pissed.
Morgan admitted she was going to evict Vince and take Ashley, and per what the jury stated, that move would have sealed her victory. Morgan was literally thinking precisely what the jury was considering. I’m bawling for Morgan because I was super rooting for her underdog tale because everyone was targeting her after Rachel left the game.
Seeing how the jury responds to Morgan being the final juror is going to be critical, in addition to the reveal that Ashley won the final HOH and cut Morgan over Vince. Rachel wants Vince to be evicted, as did Keanu, but when Morgan came out everyone was STUNNED and mouths aghast. Rachel started screaming when Ashley won, and Keanu was stunned as well. This could be good for Ashley.
Keanu started by asking Vince why he played an emotionally manipulative game that resulted in horrible jury management. He didn’t own it. Rachel’s question to Ashley was strategic moves she made to be deserving as a winner. Ashley discussed adapting in the game, and answered these questions with fierceness. Oh, Ashley is killing it. Julie had to halt Ashley, it was fantastic.
Kelley asked Vince about his crying; was it sincere or fake. Vince should have admitted it was game; I think the jury would have respected it more. Will asked Ashley her contributions to her personal success. Her social game helped her get to the end. Yeah, I think Ashley has this locked. Damn, Julie stop cutting people off. Lauren asked Vince about his game being intertwined with Morgan and he was forced to separate from his ally.
Vince is totally stumbling here, majorly. Ava’s question was why she deserves to win over Vince because she talked about turning her enemies into allies, not doing what Vinny did turning allies into enemies. Morgan decided to ask Vince what his strongest part of his game, was his HOH wins and social maneuvering, but Kelley was laughing at Vince’s answers.
Ashley easily killed him in the questions, Vince fumbled majorly. Ashley’s final speech was spot-own, and I love that Ashley used the Elle Woods reference from “Legally Blonde.” Julie, please let them finish their speeches. I can’t recall the jury ever clapping after a finale speech. Vince did prop up his competition victories, and the fact that he nominated more players than anyone else. I will admit Vince’s final speech was more impressive than his jury Q/A; I will give him credit for owning up his antics. He had some fight there I got to admit, but Julie Chen needs to allow the players to give their speeches like the golden age.
Rachel is voting for Ashley, as was Will’s vote, he admitted it. Kelley’s vote was obvious which seals Ashley’s victory. Lauren per usual had nothing to say, and Ava’s vote was obvious for Ashley. The only two I’m not certain on is Keanu, Lauren and Morgan. The pre-jury returned to the stage to share their thoughts in the game. Zach admitted he was stunned by all the alliances that Vince had.
Oh, I love Julie asking Jimmy about Morgan and Mickey turning on him, and giving the credit to Morgan. Sorry, Mickey that was more on you. Morgan getting her flowers, I love that for her. Rachel admitted that she truly wanted to work with Keanu, but she had stronger allies. Wow, the question about Rylie and Katherine’s showmance, wow, these two are still together, oh, wait until the jury gets out and discovers the things about Ryle and Katherine, they are going to be in for a shock.
Who cares about ‘The Mastermind’s’ accomplice? It’s Amy, no big surprise people. However, Dr. Will wasn’t the actual ‘Mastermind’ the true reveal was actually Jessie aka Mr. Pectacular talking about the twist in BB11 ending his game. I totally agree, but then we had another reveal this time, Frankie Grande, who complained about BB16 Rewind Twist. Wow, BB Producers revealing how terrible their twists are in the game. We had a third reveal with Eric Stein revealing BB8 was his to take, but he was screwed over. I have to agree with all of these twists because they were bad and changed the game. I was glad to see Eric back because he deserved his props!
Rachel was stunned that her pals masterminded the game that caused her elimination. The votes are revealed, and it was Ashley victorious with a six-one vote, with Vince only getting Morgan’s vote. BB27 proves it’s not all about competitions, as social game proved to be more vital for Ashley over Vince. Now who wins America’s Favorite Player. I can tell you who I think is the top two: Keanu and Rachel. I truly think the third spot might be Will, but it could be someone else. I think the casual’s want Keanu to win, but Rachel should win after being robbed by The White Locust twist.
The top three were: Keanu, Rachel and Will. More than 65 percent of the vote is Keanu. We tried to give you that prize Rachel, but I think the casuals voted for him because of his underdog journey. No winter season or celebrity, as Julie announced “Big Brother” will return next summer. It was indeed a season, and I must admit this season had me in my emotions more than previous seasons, but I am happy it’s over. Until summer 2026 for “Big Brother 28,” now only if we can get returning players in full, I will be pleased as a fan.
