SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department reported a robbery which transpired on Tuesday, October 3 in San Francisco’s Central District.

At 1:40 p.m. at Jefferson and Taylor Streets, a male suspect broke into man’s car and stole a backpack. When the victim noticed he was being robbed, he charged at the suspect and chased him into the car. The suspect wielded a gun and threatened the victim before exiting the vehicle and fleeing with the backpack and mobile phone.

Police have described the suspect as an African-American male in his 20s or 30s. No arrest has been made in the case. There were no reports of any injuries during the robbery. Anyone with information on the suspect or incident is asked to contact the SFPD. Tipster can remain anonymous.
