HOLLYWOOD—After weeks of speculation and name dropping, the cast for the new season of “Dancing With the Stars” was announced on Tuesday, February 26.  This season will be an interesting one to say the least.

Entering the ballroom this season are the following celebrities: “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and “Vanderpump Rules” star Lisa Vanderpump, Grammy winner and country super-star Wynonna Judd, comedian and actor D.L. Hughley, Super Bowl star and Baltimore Ravens receiver Jacoby Jones, funnymen Andy Dick, boxing legend Victor Ortiz, Disney star Zendaya Coleman, Olympian Aly Raisman, “General Hospital” star Ingo Rademacher, “American Idol” alum and country star Kellie Pickler, Olympian legend Dorothy Hamill.

This is indeed an interesting group of stars where I do not see a front-runner at the moment. I can already spot some celebs who will indeed be fan favorites.  Comedians Andy Dick and D.L. Hughley will definitely bring the laughs to the audience. Soap hunk Ingo Rademacher is likely to have legions of fans from “GH” rooting him on.  Expect lots of country loving for “American Idol” alum Kellie Pickler, as well as county legend Wynonna Judd who is a lot funnier than some may expect.
Lisa Vanderpump is sure to have Jiggy and the rest of theBeverly Hills housewives cheering her along in the audience.

The new stars were paired with their dancers during the big announcement.  Dancing partners include Wynonna and Tony Dovolani, D.L. Hughley and Cheryl Burke, Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff, Lisa Vanderpump and Gleb Savchenko, Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess, Victor and Lindsay Arnold, Zendaya and Val, Aly and Mark Ballas, Ingo and Kym Johnson, Kellie and Derek Hough, Dorothy and Tristan MacManus.

The 16th season of “Dancing With the Stars” kicks off on Monday, March 18 at 8 p.m. Looks to be another exciting season in the ballroom.
