SAN FRANCISCO—On Wednesday, June 24, Outside Lands has announced they will be canceling the annual event in San Francisco because of the coronavirus.

Outside Lands posted on their Twitter page at 10:03 a.m. the following:

“We are looking into the future & filled with excitement to announce NEXT year’s festival, returning August 6-8, 2021. We believe it is in the best interest of everyone’s health & safety that we not return in 2020.”

Some of the headliners of the 2021 Outside Lands event include Young Thug, Kehlani, Tyler the Creator, and many more. The event will run from August 6 to August 8 and tickets will go on sale starting Thursday, June 25 at 10 a.m. PST.

Anybody who has purchased 2020 passes can use them in 2021, but if someone wants a refund, they have until July 24, 2020 to apply.

Representatives of Outside Lands have not responded to San Francisco News for comment.
