SAN FRANCISCO—A parking spot in a South Beach condo garage near the San Francisco Giants’ ballpark sold last week for $82,000. While to some this may seem a hefty price for a parking spot, real estate experts are saying this is a good investment option in a city like San Francisco where parking spots can be expensive for people looking to rent out condos or apartments in the area.

Real estate agents added that in San Francisco, parking spaces in apartments or condos can add up to $100,000 to the price of the property itself. The rate for renting a parking spot in South Beach runs between $400 and $450 a month.
