SAN MATEO—On Thursday, August 14, 2025, at approximately 3:23 in the morning, San Mateo Police Department received reports of mail thievery in progress at the 2100 block of Vista Del Mar. After getting witnesses’ statements and surveillance video footage of this incident, the police officers had made confirmation that this incident had occurred. The suspect was last seen to be travelling eastbound on a bike towards Mariners Island Boulevard.
San Mateo Police Officers were able to locate and hold back 34-year-old San Mateo Christopher Henry in the area of Wharfside Road and Mariners Island Boulevard. Henry’s description matched the one that was seen in the surveillance videos. He was caught in possession of a stolen e-bike missing from San Bruno.
Thus, there was probable cause to apprehend him for possessing stolen property and mail theft. When San Mateo Police Officers were searching his duffel bag, they discovered burglary tools. There are two outstanding local warrants out for him.
He was booked into San Mateo County Jail and charged with PC496(A) Possession of Stolen Property, PC 530.5(E) Commit Mail Theft, PC456-Possession of Burglary Tools, outstanding warrants. The e-bike was transferred to San Bruno Police Department.
