SAN FRANCISCO—A surfer sustained serious injuries on Sunday, February 12 after being rescued from San Francisco’s Ocean Beach.

Rescue crews responded to a call of a 45-year-old man face down in the water at the beach near Judah Street around 4 p.m., the San Francisco Fire Department indicated.

Fellow beachgoers pulled the man from the water and began CPR. Soon after, paramedics arrived on-scene, and continued to perform CPR and transferred the victim to San Francisco General Hospital, officials said.

The name of the surfer has not been disclosed and the status of the victim’s condition has not been disclosed to the public.
