SAN FRANCISCO—A body was discovered inside a van which dove into the waters off of Marina Green on Friday, June 21. During the early evening hours, residents reported seeing a van dive into the bay waters. Witnesses reported seeing the van jump the curb on Marina Green before plunging into the waters.
It took nearly three hours for rescue crews to find the van and when they did, they discovered a body inside.
The van went deep into the water, so much so that it is submerged in mud, making it difficult for rescue crews to recover the vehicle. The recovery was called off for Friday evening and resumed on Saturday, June 22.
